This document presents a study on the use of battery energy storage systems in proposed renewable community Savona, UNIGE Campus. The compares outcomes cooperative approaches with and without flexibility services to scenario where users do not cooperate. concludes that relevant size can create new flexible instruments for power grid powerful tool citizens, which could make investment into BESS financially viable. also suggests greater transparency information hourly sales purchase prices would facilitate awareness among members at same time stimulate discussion alternative technologies such as batteries cover most expensive nighttime periods users. Overall, highlights potential communities Italy provides insights importance coupling capacity-building activities campaigns promote demand-side-response technologies.
